How's this for fresh eggs? Just collected this morning. This is something Big-y, Stop and Shop, etc. can't beat.

The chickens do go out, but just to get a little sunshine.

Well, winter is here with the snow. The sheep don't mind but the hens find it a bit chilly. How would you like to walk in the snow with bare feet? All the chickens are now moved into the barn and go out when they want to. In spite of keeping the lights on for a few hours at night and in the early morning (so they have 16 hours of light so they continue to lay.....am I mean or what?), the cold slows them down a bit. Still getting about 20 dozen a day. Hope all my customers are happy. Well, at least I don't have to weed.

As you can see, Wheeler doesn't mind the snow. Old as he is, he still thinks this is his kingdom.
